While skipping through some old threads -before they get manually mothballed- I stumbled across the engine lid cylindrical prop information concerning measured placement, force lbs, etc.

 

Juan Gonzalas neatly solved holding the lid up on his widebodied replica without resorting to a chained pin or deck prop. He easilly adapted salvaged authentic 365 braces to his lid hinges...Click it's up...Unclick it closes!! Juan is a very savvy guy. I wish he participated more 'cause he has a lot to offer.

 

I'll try and submit photos...and maybe keep this thread from being eliminated.
