I mocked up the engine again to see what it's starting to look like with some new paint on the accessories. We wound up getting it painted instead of powder coat as the FI ports were filled in with JB weld. The timing belt is obviously missing and it's cover also. That would have cleaned things up a lot.

I forgot to take the crank pulley in so that will come later. Just a darkish charcoal colour really. We went with the charcoal rather than brown which might be more in keeping with the Frankenmotor theme.

I took a swing at the engine turning of aluminum panels for the engine bay and for a first try they came out not too bad. I had trouble with not enough throat depth on my drill press so a bit on the left side got buggered up a bit. It's an easy re-do and I've figured out a way to get around the lack of depth. Clear satin is the finish. ( poor lighting also ).

I also discovered that 2005-10  4.0 litre Mustang spark plug wires provide a real nice fit for my mixed up ignition system.  And, the handy counter person figured out that the addition of one PCV grommet of the right size to each plug end of the wires will preclude any water ever getting at the plugs again.
