Why is it such a pain to take the engines out of our spyders. I removed all the tin, carbs and alternator stand...left the fuel pump, distributor and oil cooler.
I had to jack up the front to clear the torsion bar housing with pulley, then the oil pump bolts and then the bottom of the block. Just had enough clearence to pull free of the transmission mainshaft.
If you raise/angle the engine too much the flywheel gets stuck at the top of the transmission bell housing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Going in will hopefully be easier.
