Engine tin for a Beck Speedster | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

Hi everyone

Im a glad owner of a Beck Speedster. The previuos owner has newer installed the engine tin back in the car.

Is it possible to buy the customized engine tin, or is there any template you can use so i can cut it out and make it my self.

Christian, the Beck uses the stock engine tin, with a large piece of rubber used to cover the gap while allowing some movement of the engine. You should be able to buy the proper tins at just about any VW parts house.

I know you can use standard tin for the width of the engine, but what about the length of it!?

Just take a piece of cardboard and cut out template. Most use the TIV H shaped foam rubber gasket to allow for engine movement and a good seal.

All the tin on mine is completely stock. The gaps between the body and the tins are covered with the thick rubber piece.
