Did you buy that a couple of years ago?
Was that the one on ebay with an auto trans?

I am seriously thinking about selling the Envemo. It is a 1986 Cabriolet (pale yellow - Porsche called the color Champagne). Engine is 1600cc's with a cam. (Very peppy) Four speed manual trans. Brown Recaro leather interior, new top (also brown), 23,000 kilometers (about 16,000 miles), excellent condition. Will sell for $20k OBO. Check the 'General Topics' on this forum for Mr. Hines's comments about the car. He was involved in the project. Great car. A move, and downsize from 6 car garage to 3 car garage is prompting sale. Below are a couple of comments about the car that I have gotten off the internet from others that have sold over the years.

"The Envemo 90 was a Brazilian replica of the Porsche 356C. It was made from 1980 to 1992. The total production amounts to circa 320 cars and a little over one hundred were cabriolets. They were assembled on a Volkswagen Brasilia chassis. The Brasilia was a little station wagon like car made by Brazuilian VW. Its chassis looked very much like the Beetle chassis, but it was wider. The Envemos were very expensive when new. The interior is real leather and they are hard to tell from genuine 356s."

Yes, I bought the IM just after I bought the Envemo. I bought the IM because it has an auto trans; and, therefore, all the drivers in my family can enjoy it. I actually like the Envemo a bit more because it seems to have more pep; and also because it is based on a 356 that nobody else uses. Even Porsche owners and dealers can't tell it is a repro until they determine it's fiberglass. The Envemo is the one I'm selling because it is a manual trans - and I'm the only driver in my family who can drive it.

That's why I'd keep it! My car only, nobody else could drive it! I hate it when I have to keep adjusting seats, mirrors, seat rake, radio stations, cd's, etc when somebody else gets in my car. My super pet peeve of all time is when you have the car in for service and when you pick it up and turn the ignition key on, either bad rock music blasts you out of the car or the steering wheel is greasy from either motor oil or left over boloney juice!

Sell the IM, nobody else in the family can drive a stick, sounds like a plan to me!

That is the right thinking. I have had my IM for 7 mos and only another PCA memebr has driven it.
