I usually go on the Speedsterowners board or the PP Boxster Board, but wanted a little more feedback.

Doe anyone know about or seen a Envemo Relica Porsche Roadster/ or cabriolet (based on 1959 to 1962 356 model? I was trying to find our more on mechanicals, HP from a 1600 engine with some perfromance modification. Tne car was actually built in Brazil, uses a lot of Porsche cosmetic parts, and the body was molded directly from a real Porsche 356.

Both Beck and Hines had some relationship with the Envemo, although they did not actually build it. Kevin Hines filled me in on the history on the Speedsterowners website, but I was hoping for more recent experience with the car versus the history of it.

The shop I worked at in the early to late 80's built engines for some of the Envomo 356 replicas. There was a coupe and a cabrio. Both their cars were based on later style 356, either a B or a C. They are very well built and use VW mechanicals. An aquiantance has one (white cabrio) in very good condition that he uses as a daily driver he paid $3500.00 Canadian for it. The cars came complete except for running gear (drive-train) very much like the Brazilian Puma.
