I think that I have an extra window frame w/vent window down cellar, probably a door handle as well. If anyone here grabs it up, make sure that you get a title or previous Maine registration with it well. Maine makes it OUTRAGEOUSLY easy to get a title/registration, you can even make up your own VIN. All you need is a bill of sale made out to you, make up a seller's name and call it done.

Don't you just LOVE that shit? As long as they get the coin for the transaction, they could care less.

A Maine title/previous registration would make it all a breeze anywhere else in the country.

Just sayin' . . . .

Dang.

TC? I had an "issue" with a car I bought out of state. Okay, it was my fault... Bought the car from florida, it had a New Jersey title, it was a gray market 911 with a non-conforming VIN (letter O instead of number zero), and I LOST the dang title.

I paid $300 to a company in Nevada that specializes in these sorts of things. What came to me two weeks later was a set of Maine license plates and a Maine title...

I re-registered it in Oregon and we've been driving it ever since. The car was Steve's cabby.

Hey Angela,

Whenever I really want a car that has "issues" (I don't want to impose on my Buddy living in Maine TOO often) I have Chuck buy it for me and put it on the road for six months or so. He then sells it to me with all of the easily transferable paperwork (from Maine) and it goes through the Massachusetts RMV with ease.

No laws broken, no fraud, or shenanigans. Easy Peasy. Exactly what the title company did for you I imagine.

I'm lucky in that I'm here in New England just a quick ride away from my Buddy's house. If I ever retire, it'll definitely be to a small home with a big barn and a lot of land behind the house . . . in Maine.

2005! Sorry, my screw-up guys. Didn't notice the ad was posted in 05. I posted the link because they're rare, and since Pete had one, thought he (or someone else) might have been interested. Little did I know it's Pete's car. Hate it when sellers don't delete ads after the vehicle's sold.
