I think the problem with running a balance pipe on Webers vs Kads is that the Webers are effectivly 4, 1 bbl carbs - one feeding each cyl. The Kads are 1 bbl carbs so you have 1 carb feeding two cyls. The balance tube connects before the intake manifold effectively splits to the dual port heads. This provides some communication between the carbs and can help compensate for minor out of sync conditions. To have a balance tube on the Webers you would have to fabricate a 'Y' pipe on each manifold and connect a balance tube between the two 'Y's. If you hook the booster to one carb intake runner on a Weber, all will be fine as long as the booster is at "full vacuum". When you brake some vacuum will be lost through the booster operation and the cylinder whose intake is responsible for the vac regeneration will run like crap until full vac is restored. Or at least that's how I think I see it. Could be a real problem.
