With my 10 yr old VS before I sold it I was putting ethanol cree gas in. There is a station close to me. With my new VS on its way, what are thoughts on new motor needing ethanol free gas?

I would rather use ethanol free gas in any motor. Unfortunately, it is not available around here.
Ask Barack about that.
Barack? Rich, we've been "enriching" with ethanol for 20 years.
Yes, Stan, and Barack will continue that for years to come.
Im looking into hotter bosch plugs Bos 7902/ WR8AC and If it will work with my protronics kit a flame thrower 3 coil Id like to have a coil with a higher voltage disperial voltage the #3 FT is 45.000 volts i like a 55,000 volt coil that would definately cover it
I'm running Platinum W8AP plugs with great results. Platinum plugs were all we used to run in Snowmobiles back when I was heavily into those and they helped cure a LOT of mixture and cold weather problems so I figured, "WTF?" and have used them since day one in my 2,110cc. I also have an early Magna Spark set-up with the electronic module (similar to a Pertronics) and the old style 55,000 volt, electronically triggered coil (it looks like and is about the size of a brick).
VERY solid spark and the plugs should be good for 100,000 miles. Of course, by that time, in an aluminum head, I may have to blast to get them out! (or just pull the heads for the rebuild and soak them in solvent for a few days)
Bosch WR8AC are the same range and thats what i got. I have flamethrower 2 coil...(3 ohm resistance) 40,ooo volt peak voltage. The Flame thrower 3 is 45,ooo peak volts.. and 6 ohms .. I want one same shape but 55,ooo peak volts and 3 ohms I did some math and this is what it should be to completey elimnate any problems even if it goes to 20% ethanol. Im thinkin ahead but so far have not found a coil that hot of this shape. There is (E) free gas here but $4.25 per Gal I don't think so.... Better to beat the problem..this way
I don't want the brick shaped coil . I want a coil that is shaped like a factory coil. Surely someone makes one Because it.s going to be a high demand street rod part for any high output engine when gas goes to 20% ethanol I have a friend with 454 early trunk and he is raisng cane about this gas. Whe antque car owners with origal looking cars want them to look correct but still run ok to these show , And we are there now with this crappy gas.
"raising cane about this gas" - is about right. In 2013 most of the ethanol will be supplied by Brazil and made from sugar cane. This year has been dismal for US corn crop due to the drought. So now we get to import ethanol from yet another country when we should be exploiting all our in-house energy resources.
I changed the plugs and set the gaps at .30 instead of my ussal .28 it helped it Im looking hard at the Protronex 60130 Igniter 2 coil it 3 ohm and 60,000volts peak I don't like the shape but the numbers are what came up from a friends voltage math for a 20% hotter spark. He strongly suggested i buy one..
If you're running over 50,000 volts AND running platinum plugs you can gap them at .050 and get a really hot spark.
Factory gap is 26 to 28 I WENT TO 32 AND JUST INSTALLED A 60,000 volt Protronex HV coil in 17 degree weather its not completely gone But its a lot better should be fine most of the time . The only thing left is to restrict the cooling fan some in this cold weahter to raise the engine temp some to comensate that will be tricky with out a thermestat installed. i may have to reinstal the flaps and thermestat But i got all that here
