European turn signal correction

If you have replaced the all red tear drop turn signal lenses with the European amber/ red lens you may have noticed that the correct light does not light up when applying the brakes. The red side should light when applying the brakes but the red side on the lens lights up when using the turn signals. See pics (Turn signal fix 1 & Turn signal fix 2) I was called on this when getting my IM Roadster inspected in PA. I fell back on
