That thing is COOL! I had the pleasure of getting to hang out with Randy a couple of weeks ago at Barret Jackson in Scottsdale. Truely an artist..... He also has built some other cars that are amazing. I saw one at Monerey a couple of years ago that was a 16 cyl.diesel chopped and channeled rat rod Peter Built or something. He told me when he fired it up it shook the pine cones of the trees and dropped them on a 2 million dollor Ferrari. He drives that Deco Liner all over, He lives in Oregon. He told me he is going to do a vid. of that rocket gocart. out on El Mirage dry lake with the Deco Liner as the support vehicle....Shots of him and the driver sitting around the campfire waiting for a dawn run...No one else,no emergency crew or anything. Kind of crazy... By the way the Deco Liner if for sale for $500,000.00
Randy is an absolutely GREAT craftsman and enthusiast!

The first time I met him, I was working in Ashland at the Port of Entry. Here comes a fellow in a pickup truck pulling a car I recognized on site - the Blastolene Special!

Naturally, I stopped him and yakked his ear off. He had another build underway at the time, an indy car built alon the same line as the blastolene car. Had to do something with that extra 12 cylinder air cooled tank engine!

He said the first time he fired the motor off in the blastolene special, it shot fire about 20 feet in the air. Brought everyone out of the buildings to see it start and then drive.

Randy's also got a GT40 that he takes out to the autocross track. Maybe if we do a run here in Southern Oregon, we can tour his shop. Last run we did, we toured Arial Atom - everybody dug it, so this might be a good follow up. You want to talk about people who think outside the box, Randy doesn't even start with a box.
