Apparently, the Osprey has been making more scheduled flights lately. This one set down here this morning.
The history is littered with mechanical problems and crashes, but a tilt-rotored aircraft would answer a lot of mail for the U.S. Marine Corps. They don't have any forward armament, and they're heavy on the onboard computers, so they're considered to be fragile in this stage of development.

I like the look of the thing, reminiscent of the space ship Sigourney Weaver shuttled around in in the movie Alien, but I don't think I want a ride until they've got the kinks ironed out.
Thought it was cool; this is the better of the two pictures I shot.
