If the actual code is not available, you can go to a larger auto body shop or supply house, they can shoot a picture of the paint surface with a special "camera" ( be sure that they shoot a few different areas of the paint surface) This info is then fed into a computer that will provide an exact paint formula, quite often the computer will also be able to match it to a production color and a factory paint code. I have done this at least half a dozen tiomes with 100$% success.
