I am about to pull the trigger on a Vintage Speedster 356 build, and was looking for comment on the wisdom of upgrading to the "A1" ceramic coated/tuned exhaust. I will be new to these special beauties, but understand that this exhaust will produce a deeper sound and add a little bit extra horsey power. This is a single outlet exhaust. Also is there any validity to guarding against exhaust stains on the bumper guards by putting a "tip" on the end, and if so can anyone suggest a product that also adds appeal. Just wondering. Thanks Steve

Steven, I went for the A1 sidewinder a few years back for my 82mm stroker motor, and the product is very well made. Mine is ceramic coated in 1 5/8" tube diameter. It made an immediate difference in the running temps of the motor by lowering the oil temp by 20 degrees. It is important to get the exhaust gases out of the motor in a speedy (pun intended) manner.

The A1 also look real fine from the back of the car. Sweet!! It is a little loud on acceleration with the SS Magnaflow muffler, but I view that as a safety feature. I have seen someone add a short glass pack resonator after the muffler to moderate the sound, if desirable.
