Have the 2.0L vw/Audi water cooled with magnaflow exhaust. Stuck out so far that it would occasionally bottom out and hit bumper. Was afraid it was going to crack bumper. So I gave it a slash job and painted it high temp flat black to make it less conspicuous. Before and after.

Yes, Retrosound with amp sounds great. Probably even better with subwoofer. Guess it goes under a seat??? Retrosound Bluetooth connectivity is the best I've had in any car I've ever owned. No brainer. Start the car and music almost instantly streams from my phone without fail.
I like the more subtle treatment. Well done.

^^^ I agree with Ted ^^^^
Ray, where are you installing the sub?
I also agree with the new exhaust look. Really suits the car a lot better.
Looks friggin mint!
Very nice, Phil. I much prefer the "after" shot.
I had two projects in mind for this winter. First convert my Marchal lamps from BA21 tungsten (unobtainable at reasonable prices) to H3 bulbs ($3.50 each anywhere), which I have done ... it's working to quote star wars. ..
Then I saw a sale at Cip1 and with our monopoly money I bought an 8100 and got it shipped to my home for a winter project. Marty, Phil, if you have room, under the roadster seat it may work, (see specs below) but it will fit under the rear seat which is where I had a sub in my previous IM.
I had a battery conditioner also there which I have to move now.
Essentially an RCA dual plug cable plugs into the head and into the sub, then you have to run power to it and do some fine tuning at the head and the sub unit.
This unit is not known for being boomy, it simply adds power so that low notes can be fully produced for the listener.
Phil I find the bluetooth very nice as well, better than my passat I like the mic too but nothing can help it at speed with the top down, so I am thinking of experimenting using a bluetooth head set or ear piece which may work if I plug the phone in via USB.
I'll keep you posted as I get this going.

According to IM the cables should be run front to back via passenger side of cabin which has no power cables.

Phil, your shorter tail pipe looks a lot better. Just remember to clean under the bumper area on a regular basis. My IM had it's tail pipe in the same location (other side) and over time the exhaust stained the underside of the bumper.
