Getting unusual exhaust smell. What's going on?

I imagine the brain trust here will only be able to help you with some additional information such as under what contains you get the smell and what the smell is like. You didn't give any of us much to go on.
Smell? What type of smell.
I incinerated a mouse in my exhaust once, and that stunk.
Raw gas smell, or partially burned/spent gasoline smell. Or burning oil smell?
And like Lane said, WHEN do you get this smell? Sitting in the garage for a few days, during warmup, during normal running, or after shutdown hot, or the next day when you open the garage door?
usually some type of fluid spilled on it, oil, brake, tranny, etc.
Rodent oil gas brake fluid ...look to see if there is a stain on the exhaust
Also nuts and seeds stored rodent.
sulphur,,,,go to a different Taco Bell..or go Vegan
Very helpful.....can't wait to respond to some of your requests!
What smell, when, how long? We can’t really respond to “how long is a piece of string?”
Gas? You’re running too rich or you have a cylinder not firing.
Oil? You possibly have a leaking valve cover gasket that’s dripping on your header tube. Or bad rings (Smoke?)
Campfire? You might have some rodent nest/droppings somewhere on your motor.
Be specific. We’re here to help. And between us, we’ve seen just about everything.

And quite frankly some things I wish I'd never seen, which makes them things I can't unsee, which again makes them things I wished I'd never seen.
Do check for leaking gas - from rubber feed lines, mechanical pump, and carbs. It can leak and evaporate before it hits the garage floor BUT can quickly burst into flames while driving. Fiberglass is very flammable!
Raw gas or overly right mixture through exhaust can give gaseous odor too - even to point of a fiery back-fire. Pulling plugs may indicate over-rich mixture.
Tim, you got at least a half dozen responses asking for more information. You really didn't give anyone anything to go on at all. Nobody can help you.
It's like in Jerry McGuire: "Help me, help you" LOL!
