Extra capacity gas tank in a VS

Has anyone installed the 15 gallon gas tank from EMPI in their VS? Any fitment problems or was it a "no brainer". And does the carpet kit still cover the tank? I'm not sure exactly what size the stock is ... I'm guessing about 8 gallons (I fill up with 5). I'm getting tired of going to the gas station every 100 miles.

CIP1 has a 16 gallon one - makes sure you get one with filler cap inside the hood - some take the manf gas cap too.

I installed a 16 gallon tank in my VS just last Spring. I simply followed Jim Ward's instructions and had no problems what so ever. I'd recommend this upgrade to any VS owner.
Only last weekend, I took my bride up to Tahoe and back to Wilton with no fuel stops.

Other advantage is you get ~70 added pounds in front of vehicle where its needed and you can now cruise for gas that's a few cents cheaper by not being forced to stop so quickly for a refill.

ross... Yes you will need to cut out some of the inside wall of the hood just above the gas cap. I used a 3 1/2" hole saw.
Dale... Thanks for the invite. The fact is that I have relatives (on both sides) in the Medford/Grant's Pass area. For me, a trip up there could get way complicated in no time.
