Well, since the pot's been stirred by a Shade of Blue, I've decided to post a sequel:
Shades of Grey... clicky for biggy

...'cept it's a Cali car and Joe has the divided overriders in the back
Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about.
Nine blau.
Stan, so...you don't like Blau, is that it?
Color of class that is.
And I like the blue too
PS I saw almost exactly this on a drive this afternoon. It looked to me to be just as bright as that altered pic in the other thread and very eye catching. The light makes it look different shades.

It's all in how tough it looks, Will. These cars already look kind've delicate (as opposed to say, the Shelby pictured above)-- I'd alway worry about somebody wanting me to turn in my man-card if I were rolling a sensitive and somewhat feminine blue clown-car. Maybe it's where I live, I don't know... but I'd steer away from it out here.
I've got a Dove Blue '64 panel I thought I'd have to paint when I got it (bought it sight-unseen on the interweb) but the blue has a lot of gray in it and looks really good (to my eye). It's definitely not a color you find on grade-school girls' book bags.
I love deep navy blues like Rusty's car, probably more than black even... but that's a big statement. Either one seems impossibly difficult to keep clean for somebody like me to own.
I'm just not a fan of robin-egg blue, or more modern electric blues. Actually, I really like electric blues-- Kingston Mines on the north side up by Wrigley Field is a favorite, but the cover is like $10. Buddy Guy's is OK, but pretty over-rated most nights. But as far as electric blue PAINT, I'm not really a fan.
The car in question does nothin' for me.
Looks like Stan's got a bad case of them rollin' down the highway but don't nobody want me in my clown car blues.
Oh i like overriders and split in the back with exhaust pipes for sure...
Not a fan of blue either except dark tones
