An engine bay grill on the front! must be an oil cooler behind it. I like that idea.
With oil lines running that much distance would you need an extra pump in there somewhere to assist moving the fluid? I can't imagine that little engine pump moving that much oil that far.
Robert, you'd be amazed at how much oil a "little" VW/Porsche oil pump can pump.
to the tune of:
how much oil could a Porsche pump, pump, if a Porsche pump could pump oil...
VW guys tend to be scared of front mounted oil coolers, but the 356 guys do it all the time. I wouldn't want to not have a thermostat (pumping cold oil all that way sounds like trouble to me) and it might be prudent to increase the lines 1 size (from AN-8 to -10). I think the cooler in the left rear fenderwell is just as effective and then you don't have those long lines (extra weight and extra strain on the pump).
I have 2 front mounted aluminum coolers stat and some SS AN lines available...

*cough* dry-sump *cough*
Put all the pipe you want on the primary (evacuation) side.
The P car Carrera had the cooler in the front passenger side finder, not much difference in distance.
