Now you guys are ringing my nostalgia tunes! I was the editor of the newspaper there on the lake back in 1980. We lived north of town near the back entrance to the PB Club. That was the year American Resorts bought it out. A friend of mine ran the stable by the club and was murdered two years later. My lovely bride Sharon worked in the legal department for Dungeons & Dragons. I did a lot of flying out of Rock County Airport (little 4 place birds) and did magic shows from Janesville to Beloit to Delevan to Kenosha. Nice folks live there but there is too much humidity for me (my goldfish had free run of the house!).

Lake Geneva would be a great place for the National Speedster gathering but someone local would have to organize it. I can't do it justice from Colorado.

Happy Trails,
Dusty
Mike,

I am in for a run to Lake Geneva. I just played 18 at the Geneva National on 9/06/2007. I was just dreaming of driving the Speedster down the winding 2-mile run it takes to get to the Clubhouse. I also agree with Dusty, this would be a fantastic place for a formal Speedster gathering. Great food, B&B's, and country roads just out of town.

Any of you guys remember the street where they filmed parts of the Omen. I think it
They used to run a cancer benefit poker run with a car show afterwords there. I am thinking mid October. The airport there had an old timer planes show also with some of the old birds taking off and doing flyovers. The poker run was cool, stopped at a lot of nice bars and resturants around the lake and then the car show. I ran the poker run for a number of years and had a blast each time, I mean I particpated, didn't run the show! I am sure Hemmings or Google can get you info! It is very nice at Lake Geneva, we had a home a little farther north on the Wisconsin River, Lake Wisconsin.
