Hello all,
I am wanting to put a mild flare on my straight body speedster. My preference is to do both front and back. I have been doing a lot of research on what options may work( mostly universal flares). However, before I pulled the trigger on getting something that n the end may not suit my needs, I thought I would check in on the forum. What have you guys seen done? Any ideas or options would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

How much of a flare are you looking for?
Perhaps contact Kirk @ VS he may be willing to have his body mold guys in Mex. do just the 4 flare sections and can be bonded with " Corvette" glue.
Thanks guys. I am looking for something smaller than the typical wide body flares. I like the size of the specialty auto flared cabs.

Are you looking for that "bolt on look" or do you want them blended into the body?
I've not seen any Speedster bolt on flares but someone else might.
Whatever direction I go, I plan to blend them in.
Al, What is "Corvette glue"?
Is it just a garage workshop nick-name for resin impregnated fiberglass?
Carl.... Corvette glue is a generic name for two part fiberglass bonding epoxy.
This is a early pan based classic body IM Speedster that I have owned and sold twice and is now in California. The mild flares were hand laid on the body and took a good number of tries to get it to look like it belonged there from day one, regretfully I don't have the templates.

The flares on the red speedster are just what I am after, Too bad you do not have the templates anymore.
The top was done by a high end street rod shop here, he also fabricated a unique top carriage frame assembly that allowed for the hard 1/4 boot to remain in place , it was ingenious....When I bought the car he gave me the templates and I spent 2 hours tonight looking for them ...Well at least the shop is now cleaned up :~)
