I want a fender flare kit to convert my traditional speedster into
the wide-body version. Do such kits exist? Any help is greatly appreciated.

No nothing is out there to easy accomplish this. A stock body will bring up to 1/3 more than a flared version, you can easily sell what you have and switch over to a flared version saving some money in the process.
....Back in the day we would cut the wheel well opening out to make room for a bigger pair of sneakers, tack on electrical metal conduit to the wheel wells edges, building them out with sheet metal of course, this was metal to metal and was a lot of work.
When done the car would weigh in at an additional 10 lbs from the gallon of Bondo.
