Lookin' good, Josh! I like the black on the grille with the polished faces (don't know how it would look on mine, being an off-white car, but you never know. Might just havae to try it). I do love these cars in black! And the beautiful thing about these plastic abortions is we're not governed by the Porsche polizia; you're free to do just about anything you want (except for hood scoops. And heavily metalflaked paint. and...). The point is, it will take a lot before we start laughing at you. Have fun with it! Al

Good eye Bob!

Iced again... Well my speedster project just got put on hold again... for another speedster. A guy saw we had one at the shop and decided to bring his down to get some work done on it. Finally finished up the '58 Bug semi long term project and delivered it this morning so we have some room in the shop to take this on.

Anyway, thought I'd share a few pics of this bad boy. Still has a ways to go, but it is a good start.

Well at least now you can "practice" on his first then if you want to you can tweak it a little bit before you do yours.

Find out where he got those white walls.  A friend of mine has a Ghia and he wants white walls like that.  The only problem is, I don't think my friend wants to lay out too much scratch for tires and those babies aren't cheap.

Ah! Another CMC. Nice!  Looks like you're going to be adding the stainless trim and a few other items.

What else does the owner have you guys doing? Or is that under client/shop confidentiality?

Do me a favor? Take that skull shift knob and crush it in a hydrolic press. I'll send you a nice black vintagespeed shift knob.

Ted

We are adjusting the clutch cable/bowden tube to get it to shift properly as well as replacing the shifter (currently it has a type 3 shifter) so we'll put on the proper T1 shifter.. Not sure if we'll toss the skull knob or not, I'm pushing for yes. Also adding an e-brake cable and adjusting the front beam. He's trying to get it ready for his wife so she can drive it in the spring.

Maybe mount that passenger seat at a correct angle?

Good looking car. I wonder where the extra two beehives went?

Uh Oh... I got busted! You guys are right, I did put it up for sale. I had every intention of getting this thing finished, life just gets in the way. To be fair, I put all 3 of my project cars up for sale with the intention of selling one of them... This one just happened to sell first.

A gentleman named Cody came up from San Diego this morning and purchased the car. He plans on finishing it up over the course of the next few years.

Thank you for all of your support! I've referred the new owner to this site so I imagine he will be reaching out for some guidance soon
