Fiberfab wiring

Should I use their wiring harness or fab up my own? Everything else from them is crappy so I wasn't sure if I should trust their spagetti system. The schematic looks too complex.

The harness is OK. Just replace the el cheapo with something better (which you could get from West Marine).

I ripped the the old fire wire out and installed a kwikwire system made for t-buckets and dune buggies. It was very easy to install. You do need the central grounding wire package.

i was flipping though a hot rod magazine at the drug store a few days back and saw some adds for completely modular 18 circuit systems with fuses / relays / plugs for something like $170usd

that would definitely be the fastest / easiest.

like i said in another thread - if i had to do it again - i would buy a couple of spools of wire (black) and wire labels and do it from scratch. adding plugs for everything.

Yeah, and I would probably get a modular one from Painless or somewhere. Not that doing one from scratch is bad - in fact you probably end up with a better harness for half the money, but you still have to spend a week fabricating it part-time.

Like they say: "Six of one, a half dozen of the other....."

Oh, and you might think about using shrink-tube on the finished harness, just to make it look super-neat.

The Fiberfab harness should be the same as a CMC harness.

Although I made a few changes to it because my car was not configured as their default, I thought my CMC wiring harness worked ok.

I have copied the several CMC wiring diagrams out of the manual online here and combined them into one overall diagram which I will send to anyone interested.
