G'day from "Down-Under'! I've been a lurker for quite a while here and thanks to you all have learnt a lot in the process. I finally got my vintage Intermeccanica which I purchased from Beverly Hills Motorcars. They've been absolutely great to deal with and helped ease the pain of doing an overseas transaction. I have done/changed a few things since I bought the car and this is now how it stands today. The steering wheel is an original Porsche 356/VW accessory wheel called Petri 'Superb' and is probably the rarest Petri wheel out there. I've had it for over 5 years waiting for the right car to go on. I'm still going through the road registration process here in Melbourne (the 'red-tape' here is unbelievable to deal with). I'm still waiting for my Sebring exhaust!! Enjoy!

Yes, the whole process of buying/shipping has restored my faith in humanity. There are still a lot of honest people out there...

Yes Art, I tried to get all the details right as much as possible. I also had a VS over 8 years ago and I was determined to have a useable side mirror this time! It really works!

Thanks mate! Okay, so far this are the list of items I need to do to the Speedster in order to be eligible for road use/registration in Australia. Oh the joys of 'Red Tape'!

1. Install seats with head rests.

2. Install shoulder & lap belts to both front seats.

3. Install anti-intrusion bars to both doors.

I would love any photos or ideas how anyone has done a similar things to any of the above list to their Speedster replicas. Thank you!
