We finally got back to Colorado. Had a great visit with the grandkids in Ohio and Wisconsin. The drive to their homes and back to ours was very wet !!! It rained almost all the way and we stopped frequently to sponge water out of the Speedster. It would have stayed dry if not for the semi trucks passing and spraying water at the sides. I may buld some of those plexiglass side curtains for future travels. The only problem was the microscopic sand we picked up in the rainwater through the sandhills of Nebraska. Took me a couple of hours to clean the car back to new. the truck took the rest of the day! Well, we are back to normal and catching up on things around here. It was terrific seeing everyone in Carlisle and we are hoping to see many of you here in Colorado in September. I will be posting details in the next day or two wo you can make plans. See you soon.

Happy (dry) trails,

Dusty, I really enjoyed your account of the travels to Carlisle and the pictures were great. But did you encounter any "windy" conditions on the path home? Hope you had lots of fun with the grandkids, ain't that great? I've heard it said that grandkids are God's reward for not killing your kids. Also, if we'd known it would be this much fun, we'd have had them first.
Yeah, maybe we can get Dusty to post it, but he had mentioned several times how strong the cross-winds were during their trip East and in one picture you see him about half-way between truck and trailer, hand holding his Cowboy hat on tight, body leaning WAY into the wind, straining to make it to the trailer to check on his car.

He said he never DID make it to the trailer.... ;>)
