Well it has been an EXPERIENCE...but my car is finally here. It has only been 15 days since I arranged with VIP Transport to bring my car from Kentucky to Irvine.... BUT it seems like forever. Seemed like it would never get here -appeared to travel over the whole USA picking up other peoples' cars..but never delivering my car. Anyway, it ARRIVED tonite!! Cannot get over that I actually, finally, own a speedy... joined this forum in 2002 and have been looking/waiting/hoping since. Looking forward to meeting and doing a run with you guys - the help and info I have gotten here has been invaluable - and fun. Thanks guys!!

Hi Grant,

I also have been patiently waiting for what seems like an eternity to purchase a speedster, and finally did over the weekend.

I am curious how you found your experience with VIP? I have read several posts here that all seem to recommend one of several transporters - just curious how someone who has just used a transport company found their service (other than the long wait you seemd to have).

Cheers,
Dom
Dom:
VIP treated the car great and the driver was fantastic. They are very, very slow and I had 'requested strongly' that it be on the top row and in front and was told it would be. It was not - bottom row second from front. It was covered by a sheet of plastic so nothing could get on the car (oil etc) - it was spotless and as I said the driver, Matt, was communicative and very careful. They are not the cheapest but I went for them mostly based on the comments here and from a couple of other owners. Slow but everything went perfectly.
Hope this helps.

Grant

Mangoman!

Congrats on getting such a COOL car! Do you find yourself going out to the garage 10 times a day just to stare at your new ride (from different strategic angles, of course!)?

If you got personalized plates, send a picture of them on your car once you get them - search 'License Plates' on this site for some ideas.

Hope to see you at the next SOC cruise event - or Crystal Cove, or whenever!

Later!
