Finally got my Speedster :-)

Great Kit, I love the idea of the 2+2, this is new to me, can you tell me about the front seats, what are they from, they look great

they are from a Mazda MX5 (miata)

Jesper, you're doing a fantastic job!

Now it is almost coming to the end of the project - well sort of - still a few tasks to be done befor i can call it finished

But now i got the Carpets in, and i must say it look really good.

Now the speedster project is official finished

I got the Leather glued on to the dashboard, and got the seats in + got the backseat mounted incl. reel seatbelts for the kids.

Now i am just waiting for some warm weather to kick in :-)

but my god it turned out to be as beautyfull as i hoped it would.

I really like the totalt picture of the 3 colors, cream, cognac and white.........

Jesper, could you do a favor for me, please. I'd love to know the height of your seats above the carpet. Those Miata seats look nice and are almost certain to be more comfortable for long trips that the standard Speedster seats.

they are about 3/4 inch over the carpet. :-) - and they are VERY comfy to sit in, and do not look to much in the car.

Sound like i hit the nail :-) - as a "first time" car project ever, i am very satisfied with the result.

Thanks, Jesper, but I'm looking for the height to the top of the cushion. I'm concerned how much higher I would sit up in such seats than the current Speedster seats I have.

Oh yeah, should you ever plan to spend some time in the States in May, you might want to join us for the gathering in Carlisle, PA. You'd get a chance to meet a whole bunch of Speedster crazies at once for several days of fun.
