Finally,some good exhaust gaskets

Well,I heard some "ticking" coming from the bottom of my car,and KNEW it was not the precision built Chico motor that has been a dream for 7Kmiles. Sure enough it was the "sandwich" type gaskets that have the perforations in them,and are double sided "tin" ype material wth some sort of "crap" sandwiched between them. Well,when these blow out a chunk of the "crap" will blow out and even if you tighten the nuts on the header the remaining "crap" will still provide a small tunnel for the exhaust to leak out. I was getting more popping on decel than normal as a byproduct and I REALLY did NOT want to do this again any time soon so I went to my local VW aircooled parts place and picked up SOLID COPPER gaskets,they were EMPI which means crapp,but these actually were very nice and fit the ports perfectly and sealed up well,and since they are solid copper,nothing to blow out. Check um' out!!

Darn, I just changed out my exhaust gaskets yesterday with the cheapy ones.
