my new VS came with a 6" airhole in the firewall behind the fanshroud.
I can see where this might allow cool air into the fanshroud. However, my oil cooler with fan are also in that area above the tranny.
Should i attach a 6" dryer hose and route it down and facing front of car.
I havent driven the car in the hot sacramento heat yet.
anyone done this airhose conversion yet, any pix?

Bob,
I have 4" rubber duct hose connected to a 4" blower fan that's mounted to the back-side of the firewall. The ducting runs down to an elbow that sits under the driver side quarter panel. The blower switch is located under my dash next to the fuel pump switch. I mounted a louvered dryer vent to the firewall to control the air flow into the engine bay.
No pics so we'll have to get together for you to see.
I plan on putting a ride together soon - we'll do the Truckee-Tahoe Loop once the road by Emerald Bay opens up.
