Sounds like everyone on the East coast is home, Godspeed to the Midwesterners and beyond.
Tom, I remember the feeling of water sloshing around in a Spyder: the only difference is you are also sitting in it! And your whole leg(s) are wet. And the water is spraying all over the place because you have no top. Just drill holes in the floor to let it out, it's not going to rust, is it? Let me know what you want to do about that oil smoking.
Here are a few pics of the past weekend's festivities, with scintillating commentary where appropriate

Vince you may be better looking on the west coast
But the east coast guys and gales are the best.
I had a great time, thanks to everyone.

Lenny, I know that you meant "guys and gals", but some how "gales" sums up the weekend. It was fun anyway, wasn't it?
You can almost see the Cholesterol coursing thru Leons veins from all the egg in that sammich..
I think Lenny meant to say "Gales" based on the weather and lack of "gals" in the pictures posted so far...

Vince,
Here are some of the Gals. They kept us all smiling and on our toes. Without their encouragement the "Rain Event" might have turned into a chargeable offense and left us all in jail.
Happy Trails,
Dusty

This is MUSBJIM - aka: Pineapplehead, aka;MoosePeeJim, aka;El Guapo...
I am just shaking off a flu bug and have been pretty much under-the-weather (so to speak) since returning Monday night from my excellent adventure to Carlisle. I will post my Carlisle pics tomorrow (Wed) when I get home from the office.
What a blast that was!!!

Jim--it was great to meet you "in de flesh"---Jack
Jim, glad you're back safe and sound. Hope you didn't pick up any east coast accents, like "no pockin in da Ha-ved yad"
Lane - Thanks for the snapshots.

Jim....Our "patch" job held all the way home, just a little belt slippage.....The damaged pulley had almost cut the front bearing support off the Alt. Now in process of replacing Alt. and pulley...Thanks agin for keeping me between the white lines mentaly...
Well, Jim was talking with me off and on, and I suppose that I had the deepest "Boston" accent there, and he still sounded the same when we were leaving (although I think he might have gotten the cold I was fighting all weekend, or all that rain and cold gave it to him!!!)

So, Gordo, you are the culprit. I got it too. Hope it gets finished w/ me before the week end coming. One dividend from the festivities I could have done w/out. Will do my few pix later.

While I'm trying to figure out how to link my Shutterfly pictures, here are a few short clips from Carlisle;

more DannyP Spyder action...
Spyder + Raby engine + DannyP + MUSBJIM = SEGx2...

Looks like if MSBJIM and Danny P were left alone for more than 5 minutes, they would be getting into trouble! You two must have been having a blast.
If you look closely, whilst Jim is trying to keep his hat from going bye-bye from the sudden acceleration, behind that SEG he's thinking "Holy $hit! This guy's gonna kill me!" Make the Speedster feel like a slug after riding in that thing, huh, Jim? YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!

For the record, those videos were a "little" above the posted limit! It doesn't really look as fast(or sound as loud) as it was. Better weather next year! Thanks for posting this stuff, Jim. I am so glad you came to Carlisle and hung out with all of us, thanks man!
Danny -
No....Thank YOU, for taking me on that ride in your Spyder!
Yikes that was fast! I'm not necessarily a skilled videographer, but it's kinda hard to hold a camera steady or the subjects in frame when your EYEBALLS are rolled back in their sockets!! When can we do it AGAIN?!
Bill - WRT that ride, DannyP Spyder speed = light speed.
MUSBJIM Speedster = glacier speed

Danny P, thanks from me too for the thrilling ride in your Spyder. I know that they are fast and the bigger engine makes them faster, but knowing it and experiencing it are two different things. What a hoot it was when you put the spurs to her. YEEEEE HAAAAAW!

ps. It was also a big surprise how docile it could be when cruising along in what I thought would have been too high a gear, just putting along. Jake built you one GREAT engine. BTW, I heard somebody refer to it as a Raby Type IV, but isn't the 2165 a type I?

You are correct, John, as Jake has already corrected my mistake.
Lane - your 'rain-hat' must be on too tight!!
