Fired up the IM for the first time since Sept last year. Ran great! Nice sunny day in Yellowknife hovering about zero and a bit of a breeze.

Put my kite and snowboard in the car and drove out onto the ice on Great Slave lake for a bit of kite boarding. For a change, the kites were not the only thing of interst on the lake!

Bit of a warning though....these things are SQUIRRLEY on ice! It was all I could do to keep going in a straight line.

I just bought my kite stuff...a 5.0 and a 15.5 Cabrihna inflatables and a 7ft 4 in directional board.

I got the 5.0 to learn on and to use in the winter. The 15.5 I got to use in the summer. At this point I just want to have something to do when the wind is not strong enough to go windsurfing.

I got an excellant deal on the package from Silent Sports in Toronto, ON. The whole package was $1,598 CDN complete. They are still advertising some very good specials on Ebay and their website and I think they have free shipping to the US or some other incentive for US customers.

You should check them out as they appear to have the best prices around right now.
