I'm starting from Mount Pleasant, SC, just outside of Charleston on Wednesday the 13th. Gordon Nichols, along with Nolan Scott, will start from Beaufort, SC and we will meet up at the I-26/I-95 interchange. We'll head north to Columbia, SC and pick up I-77. We follow that through Charlotte, NC, where we will probably stop for lunch (in the past I've stopped in Rock Hill, SC, just south of Charlotte). After lunch, we head north on I-77 where we meet up with Leon Chupp near the Statesville, NC I-77/I-40 interchange. Leon's coming from near Atlanta, and you could hook up with him prior to meeting us, if you're coming from that direction. From there, we head north to the I-77/I-81 junction in Wytheville, VA. We then take I-81 to Christiansburg, VA (only about 35 miles further) where we spend the night. The next day we head straight up I-81 to Carlisle, stopping in Hagestown, MD for lunch and to meet up with some more folks. That's about an hour from Carlisle.

I'm not sure where in NC you're located, but there's almost certainly a way we can meet up. It's always more fun by caravan. Certainly more secure in case something goes wrong. Gordon, Nolan, and Leon will all be trailering this year, and will have plenty of tools in case of breakdown.

Another alternative would be to hook up with John Hallstrand and Jack Crosby. They're heading out from John's place just west of Knoxville, and heading up I-81. We'll meet up with them in Christiansburg for the night.
