No. Wait. That's Dr. Lauras's show.
My name is Fisher. First time owner, long time drooler. I thought I would introduce myself and say Hi before posting in other topics.
Flashback. No, not the Timothy Leary kind.
I think it was about 1966 that I kept searching the local papers for a used Porsche speedster and every once in awhile one would pop up. Back then I could find them for as little as $500. I knew I could do the repairs but never had enough dough to make a purchase.
Fast forward to 1976.
I had an opportunity to purchase a restored driver from a neighbor that once belong to Chick Iverson, a VW and Porsche dealership in Newport Beach. Asking price was an outrageous $26K. I offered $14K. I am a bit of an optimist.
Present day.
I am still a little short on the needed $150k to pick one up.
So, Happy Birthday to me. I purchased a 2004 Vintage Speedster back in May 2013. And I'm stoked.
Here's what I purchased.

I'm located in Costa Mesa, CA 92627
I wasn't prepared for the attention that I receive when driving this car. The Honks, Thumbs up, People wandering around and taking pictures, Requests to go for a ride, tailgaters, Headlights flashed, Tits flashed, (OK. I just made that one up but it's gonna happen. I just know it will).
It's awesome to find such a knowledgeable and experienced group and many of my questions have already been answered.
I'm having a great time already.
