Fitting a "hidden" radio under the dash

Hi

I want to install a radio in my VS underneath the dash board. But I want to make a "hidden" installation meaning I want to hide the radio when not in use. So what I looking for is some sort of a "swing" console where I can pull radio the radio when needed and hide it again when not in use.

Any ideas where I can buy a "swing console" ? Or any other ideas for this ?

Yes, I will try to hide the speakers too.

I have successfully hidden my stereo and speakers. They are not even in the Speedster. I definitely prefer it that way.

Two suggestions...

You can get drop down shelves to fit under upper kitchen cabinets. The shelf drops down for use (like to put a recipe book on) and then folds up under the counter when not in use.

What about a keyboard tray? The one I'm using right now bolts to the underside of my desk and holds my keyboard. By tilting it up I can move it up under the desk and out of the way/out of sight.

I'm sure if you're creative either one of these could provide a base for what you're looking for.

Another option is a radio with a remote control...

What about using the CD mechanism from an old computer? Probably not strong enough...

What about hiding it in one of those garden rocks?

Forget all that stuff to expensive and to time consumming.. Just ride your Tub next to a low rider with it's windows open and throw them a ZZ Top CD and tell them to play it and follow you to work! No fuzz No work!

I was gonna claim that I lost it there and wanted it back . . .

Put in an Ipod connecter. Put the rest in the trunk.
