Looks like the front tires are on the wrong side - the treads are facing backwards.
The steering wheel is on the wrong side too!

You can paint the shroud with just about any paint. We have used automotive body paint, regular spray paint, and high temp. No issues with any of them. Just REALLY have to clean the hell out of the shroud as it is slightly porous and tends to absorb oils.
Love this build project. Especially enamored with the metal work between the pan and frame rail. Very, very nice!

Kind of strange to see a humble bug pan - assume that's for MOT registration. Reinforced the heck out of it. New inspiration for someone to use a Super Beetle chassis and graft on the 924/944 front end. I've seen the 924/944 trailing links used it back.
I love the work and detail on that build...........
