That's a neat film clip! I never made it to Vineyard, but I did see many races at Watkins Glen starting when they ran down main street in mid 50s.

We would have a yellow flag on the last lap and then a green-white-checker for a finish! Aarghhh!

I remember Vineland, and Marlboro, Cumberland, Connelsville etc., etc. My childhood hero "King Carrera" Bruce Jennings had some classic battles with Don Yenko, when Carreras were in BP with 283cu. in. Corvettes. Bruce passed away in I beleive in 1995, Donna Mae Mimms, the "Pink Lady" was a contempoary of Bruce and Don. Don was killed in a plane crash in Washington, Pa. many years ago, and Donna Mae passed about two years ago. I beleive she was laid out in the funeral home in her pink Corvette.
