I was at a Porsche Swap meet today and ran into Chuck Beck with his 904. I figured you might like to see what he's got. I know you hate silver Angela, but it's all he had.

Here's the chassis

Mickey... is that an aluminum frame?

I donno . . . it just looks like another Kit Car from the 80's. That box steel cowl with uprites is horrendous, and that roll bar MUST be just for show. Sure ain't legal. If it's a prototype, he would have been better keeping it hidden.

All Stainless Steel frame.

They ought to be ashamed of themselves, weld some end caps on that cheesy square stock at LEAST. And hire someone who knows how to TIG, those welds are horrible . . .

Dunno know about the welds, but I sure am intrigued by the coil-over A-arm suspension at both ends!

I think that kit should have stayed with the flowing lines of the original 904 design rather than the angular roof-line and windows plus the exagerated tail. The angles/tail do give it the 80's kit car look (kinda like the Bradley GT).

The original Kamm back was a successful aerodynamic design used on many race modified road cars including the cobra daytona coupe, ferrari, maserati, alpha, porsche and many others and incorporated into the body design of many of the can-am racers. The one on the kit 904 is so exagerated it is "butt ugly" or is that "fugly".
