I have decided to part with my 57 built by Vintage Speedsters in 2003. Every effort was made to make this look like the real thing. Has a dual-carb 1915cc. I have owned it for three years with no issues. The previous owner was unhappy with the gel coat factory paint and had the car stripped down and covered with a beautiful Porsche black that just shines! Additional photos available by request. Asking $25,000. Please call 479-531-5930 with any questions. Thanks.

DJ the update should suffice...

More pix are a welcomed site too.. My tub is black too and I love it so I hope you get your price... As you have seen here from earlier posts these guys know their stuff about these tubs... and can be very honest about it... You stated in your initial post that you were going for a period correct looking car. One note for you here my friend... The carrera scripting under the speedster emblem on the sides of the fenders are not an original look... as far as selling it goes, the Samba and Craig's list should get you some bites at that price from folks that love the car, but are not as savie as those who post and chat here. good luck...

Hey David,

Thanks for the info. I do have a question on the Carrera badge then. I have a re-print on an original 1957 Carrera supplement manual that I use as a display at shows. In it is a picture of the Porsche emblem on the rear with the Carrera badge underneath it (which my car has). Is that the only place the Carrera badge was found on the originals? Thanks.
no offense you will need to lower the price. Price you are asking for would be anything on top of what you paid for, such as: original dash, door panels, steering wheel/colum, porsche knobs, and even a motor. I once had a beautiful speedster that looked and felt like an original and fooled many original porsche owners. You be lucky to get $22000. Good luck though. Unless you have put money in to the car and custom work, you'll have to lower the price.
