I have decided to part with my 57 built by Vintage Speedsters in 2003. Every effort was made to make this look like the real thing. Has a dual-carb 1915cc. I have owned it for three years with no issues. The previous owner was unhappy with the gel coat factory paint and had the car stripped down and covered with a beautiful Porsche black that just shines! Additional photos available by request. Asking $25,000. Please call 479-531-5930 with any questions. Thanks.

You will need to lower the price if you are serious in selling this car on this site...
Your '03 Speedster with AC is in the $17k - 18k neighborhood. ~Alan
Nice lookin car though
Agree, the black with the banjo wheel and AC is a plus, high quality pics will help~
DJ - very nice car! However, there are currently quite a few Speedy replicas for sale, combined with the market for these cars somewhat narrow and on a downturn, $18K would be on the high end for this nice example of a VS Speedster.

I agree. After doing some more research I believe I priced my car too high. How exactly how can I modify my ad? I can't seem to figure it out on here. I don't understand the picture issue. My pictures look really good but they are not turning out good just on this site.

You might have to re-post the ad, I think you can only edit posts within 20 mins of posting.
FYI Donating members can post high-rez photos, otherwise they get reduced to what you see here.
best of luck.

I made a donation to clear up my pictures, thanks for the tip. I decided to drop the price down to $19,000 for this car. Should a re-do the whole ad or is this update sufficient?
post it on craigslist and the samba, its free
It is a really beautiful Ve---that's for sure. Someone will be very happy with it---it has a lot of nice features.
Hey David....Bite this
DJ the update should suffice...
More pix are a welcomed site too.. My tub is black too and I love it so I hope you get your price... As you have seen here from earlier posts these guys know their stuff about these tubs... and can be very honest about it... You stated in your initial post that you were going for a period correct looking car. One note for you here my friend... The carrera scripting under the speedster emblem on the sides of the fenders are not an original look... as far as selling it goes, the Samba and Craig's list should get you some bites at that price from folks that love the car, but are not as savie as those who post and chat here. good luck...

Hey David,
Thanks for the info. I do have a question on the Carrera badge then. I have a re-print on an original 1957 Carrera supplement manual that I use as a display at shows. In it is a picture of the Porsche emblem on the rear with the Carrera badge underneath it (which my car has). Is that the only place the Carrera badge was found on the originals? Thanks.

DJ, the small carrera badges on the side of your car were correct on carrera speedsters, as is the rear one.
The careers GS cars (the ones w/o the louvered deck lid) had the small carerra emblems on the fenders under the speedster emblem and on the back under the Porsche emblem. The carerra GT car didn't have them on the fenders and it didn't have side trim or rocker trim, etc.... DJs car is correctly badges for a careers gs

SOLD! Thanks everyone.
no offense you will need to lower the price. Price you are asking for would be anything on top of what you paid for, such as: original dash, door panels, steering wheel/colum, porsche knobs, and even a motor. I once had a beautiful speedster that looked and felt like an original and fooled many original porsche owners. You be lucky to get $22000. Good luck though. Unless you have put money in to the car and custom work, you'll have to lower the price.
Uhhh Jeff, look directly above your post! Car is sold.
