The car was completed in 1997 and registered in NY as a 1969 VW Convertible.
in 2002 it was driven from NY to FL, where the car now resides. (it is now registered in Fl as a 1969 VW)

Here is the good news/bad news.

the car strarted having electrical problems and has been put in the garage for the last 18 months or so.

Originally the car was wired by hand. I have since purchased the complete wiring harness from VS, but have not installed it yet.

The car has not been started during those 18 months. (It doesn't crank at all, have not investigated closely since the car needs to be rewired)

Before the electrical problems, the car ran great. The dual Webers were proffesionally set up by Fisher Buggies http://www.fisherbuggies.com/
right here in Tampa Fl.

I will post more info and pics later, but i thougt i might lose my nerve if i don't post his now. (most of you know how hard it is to part with one of these)

2000 cc motor with dual webers
bullet proof 4 speed tranny
front disc brakes
Real fuch rims

These pics are 2 years old - still looks like this but has and inch of dust on it. :(

Other then the rewiring, all that is required is mostly cosmetic. The carpet is in good shape but needs to be reglued, the seats are in so so condition.

i have new rubber for the doors and hood and trunk lid which needs to be installed.

I toyed with the idea of doing all this work and selling for around 12k, but who am i kidding, if i am going to put another 25 hours in this thing, i will never sell it.

$8,000 OBO
