I don't know Bruce. It must be Oregon. Your listed price for a near new JPS seems like a good start. When you add a fresh 2110, every potential JPS buyer that is even considering RED or wants to get into the "Life Style" should be giving you a call.

I remember the first time we met on the way to Knotts, (thinking 2003, I was talking to Henry Reisner when you pulled into the rest stop. His commented about how nice the paint was and how flat the sides looked.

I just don't get it.
Me either Dale.

I remember that moment, in fact he came over later that day as we were gassing up and complimented me on the car, nothing else has changed, in fact the car is probably twice as good as it was then mechanically. I have added the 2110, camber compensator,an engineered remote oil filter, 1700 lb Kennedy clutch and pressure plate, 3rd brake light, etc, etc and best part of all, it really drives great.

People still think Oregon is some place the citizens still circle the wagons every night to prevent injun attack. Not so folks!

The Glasurite paint job on the car is still as stunning as the day it was deliverd, as is the rest of the car. Hey, Medford has an international airport now or drive up and down I-5 for a look see.I'm retired so at home pretty much 24/7.

Hi Bruce,

I'm just starting to look for a "fun" car and have gotten very interested in the speedster replica. I've been researching various manufacturers and pricing on ebay. I haven't run across the JPS speedster in my search. Where can I find info on the JPS Speedster providing details about how and where they are made? Guess one concern is the stiffness of the VW floor pan. I've looked at the Beck and Vintage Speedster web sites and they have special beefed-up framework. Also interested in the quality of fiberglass construction and attention to details, paint, etc.

Your car looks like exactly what I'm looking for including colors. Would you please provide the additional pictures you mentioned, especialy, the interior.

I live on Whidbey Is. in WA, and would consider a trip down to look at your car.

Regards, Mel Rogers
Mel,

Thanks for the inquiry,

JPS is well known and regarded in the Speedster replica community. They have a great web site. Just google JPS Motorsports and you'll find it. They are located in N. Hollywood, Ca. Plenty of pictures for your enjoyment.

As far as the pan vs tube frame, I guess the tube frame is a little stiffer but I sure can't tell much differance in rigidity, I driven both. The great thing about ther JPS is the paint job, they block and sand so no waves as very common in fiberglas cars, then paint it with Glasurite paint like Porsches did. You can paint it any color you want and usually any accessories you desire. Johm Steele likes to do special stuff!

We are both in the Pacific NW so that is convienent for both of us. Be glad to show you the car and let you drive it.

Contact me on tutw@aol.com or 541-826-5874 and we can set something up.

Thanks, Bruce Williams
