Do you know if this will this fit a VS or do I need to get a spacer?
Does your VS use a right front hub driven cable? - if so this should be direct replacement. Note the part number are different. Here's what SM site says -
The new SM GPS gauges ( SMC.741.101.13) are in 100mm metal housings. The older cable driven reproduction VDO and the Chinese gauges are in 105mm housings.

Jeez, I hope not. Most people have the hole in the left side grease cap and spindle LOL!
Unless we're in England or Australia I think.
Yeah - right is wrong, left is right.
odd, went and measured mine. From the outside of the chrome ring it is 111. It is cable driven. I know the new ones Beck sells are 100, and I thought mine were the older style 105. Car was built in 2015. Just not sure. If I knew it would fit I would take it off your hands.
You want to measure the size of the case - not to the chrome. the 6 mm difference to 105 is about 1/4" which sounds right.
Gotcha, thanks for the tip. Guess I will wait to get the whole set and spacers.
The Beck ones take different sending units to - so that is added cost.
Thanks for the info, I will call them and get the whole kit. Last time I looked it was about 1K. Right now my Chinese repo's are doing ok. Once one of them bites the bullet I will replace them all at once. If I have one with a spacer, it is going to bug the crap out of me that the others are a different size.
The face of the gauge with chrome is 111. Difficult to get measure of case art midline due to cable connectors.
Would you ship to Spain? I am in need of one for my CMC
If so, I will take it. Let me know
That is if James does not want it first.
Thanks

VWs for english markets just use a longer cable to reach the right side of the dashboard, the hole is still in the left front hub grease cap
