This is just to test the waters and I thought I'd post it here first. I might sell my CMC Speedy. If you're interested PM me. I need $35K to let her go.

Post more info on it please.
I've worked on David's CMC and helped fit the hard top to his car and what a car it is ..........Well sorted with all kinds of extras...... " Drclock Certified" :~)
Iam-Ray just click on the attached file above with the .docx extention for details.
Oh, Sorry David, never saw it.
It might be nice if you sold the hard top separately.
Hard tops can't really be sold separately as there is lots of customization for each car. After they have been fitted, they are a "car specific" accessory.

I bet I could fit it on my CMC with a little work!
$35K? I hope you get it!
CMCs can be VERY nice cars, but for some reason they have just not be able to command the same dollars as JPS and Vintage built cars.
Most likely due to the inconsistency of the builds.
David did not follow the rule of membership before posting his for sale ad. My guess is that without paying for the membership nobody on here will buy his car. What an excellent price though. A real steal. I think I would have started at $37,500 then negotiated down to $35K.
I need one of those $17K hard tops for my CMC!
... and the knives come out.
Wow - the knives did come out rather fast. I did not realize that membership was required before posting any for sale ad, my bad, I apologize for the faux pas.
Also the top is "car specific" and customized extensively by Dr. Clock & his fiberglass buddy Randy to fit my car. The windshields are rarely a specific distance from the cockpit on CMC's for sure. Selling it separately would probably lead to it's new owner "re-customizing it's fit".
Troy is right, of course, that most CMC's won't command what JPS and Vintage replicas will, but my CMC is extremely low mileage with the rare Metal Craft tube frame with maximum accessories and tweaking and has been extensively sorted out. It's just worth more than a run of the mill CMC.
It is a very nice car David.
Thank you Troy.
Yes, very nice!
Are you thinking about building/buying another Speedster/Spyder/Coupe, David, or is it just time to move on?
PS- The car looks good!
A CMC/FF is an (early) IM's child. Incompetent home builders give CMCs a lasting bad name. The company's nefarious behavior doesn't help. CMC still remains the largest Speedster kit manufacturer ever. No shame in a nice owner influenced "bespoken" CMC.
ALB - I am thinking about getting into a Subie 356 Coupe Replica or a new Miata MX RF retractable hard top. My 70th birthday is this month and I want A/C.
About your age and got a '16 MX Std Top GT last year - like all the modern features. At my age hard to get out of unless door can be flung open all the way (which it can't in garage). The storage space is 1/2 of a Speedster. Love the RF Launch Edition color - machine gray with brownish nappa leather.
David, IM's have real A/C if you go with a Subie Engine.

Do they build a coupe?
No not yet.
Any Coupe owners who might want to trade, PM me.
David, I recently drove the Miata FS, hardtop, super car. I had to make a choice to keep my Jaguar XK and purchase the Miata, or trade the XK in on a new Jaguar "F" type. We chose the latter. I've owned 3 Miatas and loved them all. The second one was totaled by an airplane at Smoke town airport in Lancaster county. That is a whole other story.
Thx Chuck for the input. There's alot to like about the Miata MX5 RF !
