For Sale: Thunder Ranch Speedster

Michael, This definatley isnt the profession I thought it would be while studying in college. 5 years, 10 semesters with design studio being the focus and yet all anyone looks at anymore is turn around time and cost per square foot when compared to what they can lease the building for. Apparently we need less time in studio and more in statistics and business classes. Whatever, one day I am going to be a fishing boat captain with a speedster under cover on shore. This Architecture thing is temporary.

Thom, I wanted to speak with my father, see if he would be interested in buying the 550 if you and I made the trade. If money wasnt the reason I was selling Id Definately consider it, very impressive build. If I am going to be stuck with one of these cars, I think the speedster is the more "practical" of the two. I can actually get a large order of groceries with room leftover for the occasional "can I get a ride" female right seater. My father is overseas, would have no use for the 550 right now.

Thunder Ranch is the only manufacturer I know that has the look of the original behind the seats. This, and the IRS rear suspension had a lot to do with my decision on builder. I love the look, but even better I can get a couple carry on sized bags back there for road trips.

Well architects do understand good design and classic lines.....which has drawn some of us to these cars. But,I've learned there are a lot of architects, like myself, that find other professions, as it is a tough road.......and with little respect, especially for the amount of education, then State tests to get a license, and general lack of pay once you start out.

I noticed another architect selling his Speedster a while ago. I don't remember his name right now.

I'm trying to make it as an options trader right now. I think I have only made about $300 as an architect this year.

We didn't trade. Had the Speedster on Ebay last week. No action. Cant say I am dissapointed! Spent the better part of this morning on back roads North of Baltimore.

I hope the "economic recovery" that they say we are in will allow you to keep it.

I am impressed by how many miles you have been able to put on it.

This vehicle is still for sale, albeit half heartidly. It is 110% better mechanically than it was when delivered. Ask me what has been done to it. I have around 11,500 miles on the car, not bad for being on the road less than a year! Due to the mileage there are signs of normal wear. The paint on the nose has stone chips. The drivers seat leather shows wear from entering/exiting. I recently installed a new windshield. I then installed a new crack while tightening a screw, its about 1" long. It will need to be replaced at somepoint. about 1" long. I feel $28,500 is a very fair price. If interested please contact me. I have hundreds of pictures, everything from breaking the interior down and waterproofing/adding sound dampening to pretty girls in bikinis standing next to it.

I've seen his Speedster. It's garage-kept and very eye-catching. I wish mine was that pretty.

The car is for sale. I am not actively listing it anywhere. Put it on Ebay once several months ago. Anyway, feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email. Test drives are out this week... 30" snow is not good driving conditions for most cars, never-mind a speedster.
