Someday, I swear, there will be a big, bronze plaque affixed to Dr. Clock's little, side-yard shop, bearing the following words:

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled Speedsters yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your negligent drivers.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
For I will rejuvenate them and pass them on, to drive again!"

I stumbled on Project #38 a two owner speedster on CL local here to me.  It looks as new as it can get ( not even a cob web on it) and like it was just assembled and has just 20 actual miles on it !

The body prep is unreal w/o a single wave to be found...finished in a beautiful Mercedes silver paint.

The first guy did 80% of the assembly and the guy I bought it didn't do much when  he developed health issues. I need to do a bit of interior work, tins around the motor, fit side curtains, add belt line trim, Speedster scripts, wipers etc.

Someone that wants an as new speedster w/o laying out coin anywhere near to a new one at $26k plus this...... will be the one~

Update Project #38

Did some upgrades i.e. belt line molding, speedster scripts, motor tins & H' seal, oil service, added a spin on filter. Finished the electrical, steering shaft rag joint, wipers, D' weather seals, seat belts, door panels, door top rails,

Stay Fast quarter boot, Vintage luggage rack, Vintage dual tip exhaust, front & rear sway bars.

Waiting on the UPS bringing a VS a header bow and clips, need to fit the side curtains, check timing and minor carb adjustments....Mercedes Benz silver over black ...It's a looker & a nice driving speedster.
