Saturday June 6th is the Friends of Steve McQueen Car show in Chino Hills, CA.
I took my 911 last year and there were 100's of 356's, 911's and several replica's. One side of their gigantic field has foreign cars the the other side has Detroit Iron.

It's a great show and I'm probably going to go again this year.

Last December I went to a Steve McQueen Tribute at the Santa Paula Airport. It was pretty interesting. McQueen lived in a hangar at the Santa Paula airport for the last couple of years of his life. The Airport Museum holds an open house the first Sunday of every month. There are a lot of interesting historic planes at the open house.

A decent show, not as good as last year but I suspect the weather kept many from coming. Hooked up with Jim Ignacio and Will Pierson All in all, it was better than staying at home.

A couple of real speedsters were there but not as nice as some of the car's I've worked on, owned by members from this board.
Larry,
He lives up in Morro Bay.. That car is now a near 100 point car except it doesn't have the original engine. He has it and it is as new but he has another engine in it now. He puts it in the annual shows in Santa Barbara etc just for fun. They always say if it had the original engine it would have won. Just a near perfect 58 Speedster. Amazing that he has had the car for 47 years
