I just appreciate the fact that silver isn't the "only" "period correct" color. I never realized how many were white, seems like more originals were white. And more replicas are silver!

And James Dean’s car was silver. I think that adds to the popularity of silver. Silver with red darts, like his, is one of the most frequent replica color combos. My current combination of silver with Capri blue darts is an original. Capri blue is the French racing color. So yes I copied a Frenchy car.
Real 550 and mine.

I copied(kinda) a real car too. 550-0081 and 550-0018 are both white w/red.
