I'm selling the front and rear nerf bars off my speedster. Not sure what they are worth, but if you want them let me know. They are in really good shape you can see the pics while they were on the car. Thanks

Are they anything like these?

If so, what do you need to get for the set? I might be able to grab them for the '64 if the price is right.
Thanks !

I'll start the auction.
On used stuff that's still available new, I usually go for half.
So I'm in for $50.00 with the usual "Forum Discount" break on shipping.

Brian, I'm curious how far from the centerline of your car the bumper-bracket holes were. I had thought to make some of those for the Hoopty, but didn't because I had already mounted the foglights.
Do they use the original bumper brackets, or was there a flange of some kind to hold them in place?
And TC, I still need your address for the non-auction trim pieces -- with the usual shipping break.
OEM trim pieces: $100
Replica to put them on: $20,000
Watching your friend install used replacement trim pieces you sent to him for nothing on an original 50s coupe just to peeve the purists?
Priceless.

When I removed them from the car, and mounted to regular bumpers they, I did not have to modify anything. So that to me would say that they fit in the origianl mounting positions. Now, with that said, I have only owned this car for about a month and this is my first speedster, so I'm learning as I go.
TC, that price for all four?

Yup, $50 for the four. They run about $100.00 new, half price for used.
Here in the North East, where we're Thrifty . . . Not Cheap, that's just about how things go. Makes it easier at the bigger swap meets and all, at least you both know where the bottom is and nobody gets offended right from the start or "negotiations."
"What are you lookin' for?"
"Twenty bucks."
"Take ten . . . ?"
"Nah, I gotta get at least fifteen."
Then it begins. Nobody is married to the item in question, so it's no big ego thing. If it doesn't happen then, you just wander by at the end of the day. If the stuff is still there, you say. "Hey, you still askin' ten for that?" And it usually yours. Sometime for less even, 'cause he "knows" you now.
Don't worry, the price will go up as the "auction" continues. I just figured that I'd get the party started for you.
