Hi everyone. I`m a new member as of yesterday. Recently purchased a used CMC 1957 356 Californian speedster. Looking for a good pair of front seats (black) for the same. Anyone out there got any in their garage not doing anything?

Ive got a set. Send message to toms356a@yahoo.com and I'll send you pics and price. Shipping will be expensive.
If Tom's deal doesn't make it, you can also look for seats from a Mazda Miata or a Porsche 914 - both will fit the narrow seat wells in a CMC.
I shipped a pair of 914 seats in a medium wardrobe box from Massachusetts to Galveston, TX and the shipping cost about $300 - just so you know. W. VA to TN would probably be half that.
Thanks , Gordon. Very useful information. I had intended to get some Scat seats, but I have since found out that they won`t fit because of the 10" shortened floor pan on the CMC kit.
I have a set. Come pick em up.
I`m on my way!!
I'd ship Grey Hound for that short distance.
Grey Hound...Call to get quote.
Will need weight L x W X H of carton ( two will fit in a 24 x 24 x 36 box)

And a big snorkel!
Yeah, Hawaii to Chattanooga, TN is only a "short distance" in interstellar terms.
I have a set (i'm in southern California) with rails but they are tan, you can get them redone in black if you wanted to. IM me and let me know where you are so I can figure out shipping.
Thank`s for your reply, Dutch. I have found a set on my side of the world which is close enough for me to pick up. I appreciate your help though.
Pics of my early Miata seats in my CMC. Bought at junk yard for $70. 3 speakers in each seat. Freshly recovered. Very comfortable. Fit well.
Great looking seats. Where did you get the chrome roll bar? I need me one of those.
Nice looking seats.

Also from a Miata
Miata Roll Bar with center tube sectioned to make each hump fit perfectly behind each head rest.
There are two methods of cutting down a Miata bar to be centered on the seat backs.
1) David's way is to cut a section out , re-weld it shaping, grinding and polishing the stainless so the seam cannot be seen and looks great!
2) Home shop method is to do a 3" section cut out using an electric band saw to get an exact straight cut then slightly taper the two edges. Make a 4" long insert sleeve to slide into the bar, ( exhaust pipe sleeve will suffice) drill a 1/2" hole in the underside of each bar section, slid the all together positioning and marking it with a grease pen then plug weld it.
Well that's just great.
Now I hafta figure out how to put speakers (3 you say?) in MY seats, too.
I shoulda bought used Japanese seats instead of Italian ones and gotten good ones.
How come Ricardo Montalban never talked about Corinthian Speakers?
And, Oh! Dr. Clock - It fit back in! (Secret, coded message to the Intergalactic Headquarters of Merklin Motorsports and Lawn Mower Repair).
Roger that Flash Gordon ..it's always better back in ~

3 speakers in each seat? I've replaced the headrest speakers in a Miata's seat and could only find two. Where was the third?
On the Miata forum I frequent they call that styled roll bar a mouse trap.
Hey Gordon - the 3rd speaker is a big freakin Woofer right under your ass hole!
It creates harmonic hemorrhoids!
The guys who found the Miata seats said each seat had 3 speakers. I never saw where each one is in each seat. Clearly each headrest has one. I took their word that there were 2 more speakers in each Miata seat. The above comments were bullshit in an attempt to be funny. Ha Ha
I thought the headrests each had two - one for each ear. Not sure about a third.
David;
You don't know until you try! "Good vibrations" , Brian Wilson, Micheal Love, The Beach Boys, 1966
Jesus H Fark. What the hell is that even for?
That is not much of a speaker.
Gotta have them tunes.
Robert, it depends upon the woofer, placed on top.

Here are my CMC Seats and I have rails somewhere for these. Let me know what you think.
I think you need to organize your storage room.

LOL, what's your rate?
On my '16 MX5 (Miata) the 3rd speaker (believe only in drivers seat) cuts in for the phone's blue tooth connection. It actually works quite well even with top down.
Zoom Zoom!
