Is there any difference in quality or ease of fitment in the sway-a-way brand as opposed to the empi brand front anti-sway bars?
I'd say they're all pretty much the same thing; Bugpack, EMPI, Sway-a-way. Who knows, maybe they're all manufactured by the same company.
After reviewing all old posts concerning a front sway bar install, I guess my question is : Can any of them be installed on a 2006 VS without any additional welding or frame modification? If so, which one, and right side up or upside down? I'm just trying to determine how much time I need to dedicate to the project. Thanks everybody.
Some people have installed stock ones turned upside down. I installed the heavy duty 19 mm but had to modify the bumper brackets a bit for it to work appropriately. It's not that bad; just loosen a couple of bolts and you can actualy remove the bracket without removing the bumper!! Really, Kirk uses some type of silicone sealant along with the rubber grommets in the body that actually hold the bumper in place even if the brackets are removed. See the photo.
